Part II: Investigations
For this part of the project, I investigated two sets of affective logics very different from each other, but entangled through the relationship of bats with urban planning: the planning database and the bat walk. These two inquiries provided a crucial foundation of knowledge and understanding from which to develop the practice of Nightsniffing.
The below sections contain technical documentation of the software and devices I created, as well as interactive maps through which you can engage with the process and outcomes of these investigations.
